Heavenly Father has the first word. It created the worlds out of nothing and will be all-powerful and go from place to place. Father has the first word. Before we came to life he called us by name and calls us again and again. Our Father in heaven has the last word, the word in the judgment at the end of world history, then on the board of time. God has the final say. He will tell us again some day after these days in the eternal light there. The Father in heaven in the beginning and he will end everything. In his strong hands lies origin, goal and meaning.

I often look at the stars in the sky at midnight, when I have finished my work and no one is awake in the house. They go back and forth scattered as lambs in the field, also in herds and lined up like pearls on a string. And sparkle all far and wide, and sparkle pure and beautiful. I see the great splendor and cannot get enough of it. Then, under the heavens, my heart in my chest says: "There is something better in the world than all your pain and pleasure." I throw myself down on my bed and lie awake long and seek it in my mind and long for it.
