Ecclesial Burial – Funeral Orator – Zen Master – You may cover yourself with magic veils, omnipresent!

A ecclesial church burial or funeral in the church without a pastor is often desired. But this is only possible with the consent of the respective pastor. Therefore, find out in advance whether it is possible to celebrate with me (Abbot Reding) in the church.

Catholic - Protestant - Buddhist - Church burial

I am often asked if this is a Buddhist funeral. The funeral service with me is neutral and I call it non-denominational. Since my father is from Einsiedeln and my mother from Zurich, I was brought up as a Catholic and a Protestant. I myself completed the training to become a Zen monk in a Buddhist monastery (Japan). Neither fish nor bird, independent of the institutions, but religious and united in faith, I arrange the burial in a dignified and non-denominational manner. That means all faiths are welcome.

Prayer and Meditation

You may hide yourself in a thousand forms, but, dearest, I will recognize you in a moment. You may cover yourself with magic veils, omnipresent. I will recognize you in a moment. On the cypress purest, young striving, all beautifully grown, I recognize you immediately, in the channel's pure wave life, all flattering, I recognize you well. When the water jet unfolds, all playing, how glad I recognize you. When cloud transforms itself, all manifold, there I recognize you.

On the flowered veil meadow carpet, brightly stared, I recognize you beautifully. And a thousand-armed carpet grabs around, O all-embracing one, I know you there. When the morning lights up in the mountains, right away, all cheering ones, I greet you. Then above me the sky rounds itself purely, all-heart expanding, then I breathe you. What I know with the outer sense, with the inner, you all-teaching, I know through you. And when I call God's hundred names, with each one a name resonates for you.

Ecclesial Burial- Secular

The open day is bright with images for people when the green shows itself from a level distance. Before the evening light begins to twilight, and shimmers gently soften the sound of the day. Often the interior of the world seems clouded, closed, the human mind full of doubts, sullen, the magnificent nature brightens his days and the dark question stands far away.
